How does the product come ?

supplied in rolls.

How thick/strong is your self-adhesive film?
We offer two versions of carpet protection –
standard & heavy duty. Standard is 50 micron 0.05mm/2 mil or 2 thou. Heavy Duty
is 100 micron 0.100mm/4 mil or 4 thou
“Reverse” or “Normal” wound – what’s the
difference?
Trio products
are available in both normal and reverse wound. For flat areas we normally
recommend reverse wound for ease of application, for stairs we suggest Normal
Wound.
"Reverse
Wound" means that the sticky/adhesive side is on the outside of the roll this
makes it quick & easy to apply on flat carpeted areas
"Normal Wound"
is where the sticky/adhesive side of the film faces in – making it easier to
apply on stairs.
Applicators
are available to make it easier to apply the self-adhesive protection to large
areas more quickly. Both window and carpet film applicators are available in 2
types and sizes. Please ask if you are interested in these.
How long can
the protection be left in place?
For anything with an adhesive,
we suggest up to 5 weeks.
What type of
adhesive does your product use?
Our adhesives
are eco-friendly and water-based, making them safer to use than most other
products being offered on the market.
Is your carpet
protection film suitable for all types of carpets?
We don’t recommend use on
oriental/silk carpets or pure wool. The majority of carpets are either 80/20
blend or fully synthetic- our products are fine for these. If in any doubt, call
our friendly team on 01372 747 555.
Can your
carpet protection be used on any other surface?
No –
definitely not. These films should not be stuck onto any hard surfaces. Users
should purchase “Red Multi Use” for hard surfaces.
Is the carpet protection film
slippery once applied?
No. It has a non-skid surface.
Are your products re-useable?
All our self adhesive films are single use. Our hard floor protection materials
are re-usable, but it really depends on the jobsite. Best to ask us first.
What happens if the product is
left down for longer than the recommended 5 weeks?
There is a chance of adhesive transfer. This is when the adhesive on the film
transfers itself onto the carpet it is protecting.
Most other carpet protection films on the market use a petroleum based adhesive.
This can be a major headache if adhesive transfer takes place. Our eco-friendly
water based adhesive can be easily removed with soapy water.
Do you offer discount?
We are always happy to quote individually for multiple items and bulk orders.
Typically, discounts range from 10 to 50%, depending on the quantity ordered. If you are ordering anything more than 5 rolls, call our friendly team to
discuss. 01372 747 555
How do I pay?
We accept all major credit cards, Paypal, personal and company cheques, BACS
payments, cash as well as offering 30 day account facilities to regular
customers (subject to terms & conditions)
When can I expect to receive my goods?
We strive to
ship every order the day it is placed. Goods are sent via guaranteed next
working day
delivery service using TNT. We can also deliver same day within the M25 or you
can collect from our premises in Epsom, Surrey.
And Finally...
All these self adhesive plastic
films to protect carpets are the same aren’t they?
Definitely NOT. Be careful when choosing a supplier - always go for a reputable,
established, experienced company, specialising in surface protection products.
There is an assumption that this material is all produced in one big factory
somewhere – it definitely is not and the quality and performance varies greatly.
