Trio Plus Goes Green!
The UK’s leading online
carpet protection provider, Trio Plus, have jumped on the green wagon to
help look after the environment more with their special carpet protection film.
The film is made with a special water based adhesive which is far friendlier to
the eco system than the regular solvent based ones, which are so common with
other retailers. Aside from this, any residual solvent left in a solvent based
adhesive can cause harm to your skin and eyes, whereas there is no risk of this
happening with a water based adhesive because it does not contain the harsh
chemicals that solvent based adhesives do.
Richard Scrannage from the firm that also does
hard floor protection products, said: “Water based adhesives are all round
great to use because they protect from harm, are friendly to the environment and
do not affect the colour or fibre of the material it is being placed on unlike
solvent based adhesives.”
All their
carpet protection film is coated with water based adhesives, which not only
minimise the risk of fire, but are low in volatile organic compound content,
which means they do not release as many pressure vapours that solvent based
adhesives can produce. This means that the environment and human health is not
as affected as it would be.
In addition to this, the
floor protection product experts also make their paper products from up to
70 per cent post-consumer waste and all paper, cores and wrappers created from
paper rolls used during the manufacturing processes, are collected and recycled,
showing the company’s commitment to help protect our environment. This means
that hundreds of kilos of paper, water and plastics are recycled and
reprocessed, keeping them from reaching landfill sites.
